The Wings came back to South Philly after a hot 3-1 start to the season. They faced off against our neighbors to the north, the Calgary Roughnecks and Dane Dobbie who has the second most goals scored in the NLL this season. The Wings squad also consists of a few guys who are leading the league in their respective categories. Wings Joe Resetarits is second in points in all NLL. Him and Mitch Jones also are top five in assists. The total was set at 24.5 and plenty of scoring was expected as the Wings tied a franchise record earlier this season in goals scored in a game.
First Half
If there is a Power Play, Mitch Jones is going to score a goal. He had 3 goals off a Power Play, one in the first period and two in the second period. Wings number one draft pick this offseason, Brennen O’Neill also logged a pair of goals in the second period

- Roughnecks: 8 minutes
First Half Leaders

Second Half
It was neck and neck the entire second half. Caputo, Resetarits and Jones accounted for the 3 goals scored up until the last 3:11 left in the game with the Wings down one. That’s when it got electric. Holden Cattoni buried the game tying goal knotting it up 10-10. One minute later, Joe Resetarits scored the go-ahead goal with 2:10 left in the game.
Mitch Jones scored the backbreaker to go up by one followed by and empty netter by Dominey. Wings rattled off 4 goals in a matter of 3:11 to come back from being down 9-10. Hell of a effort by the Philly boys today. Final score, Wings 13, Roughnecks 11.
