Cubes dropped two bombshells on us on back to back days. Yesterday, he announced he will be leaving “Shark Tank” after 16 seasons. Without “Shark Tank,” I would never know how much Mr. Wonderful loves royalties or why the Scrub Daddy was revolutionary. Truly a quality tv program where people can learn how millionaires and billionaires look at the value and potential of a business.
Today, he announced he will be selling majority stake in the Mavericks. Who is buying his stake? Billionaire Miriam Adelson from Vegas will be absorbing those shares. There is a twist though, Cuban will still retain full control of the Mavs basketball operation. Business aficionado masterclass. Cuban bought the Mavs in 2000 for $285 million and sold his shares today for $3.5 BILLION. That is a 1,128% increase from what he bought it for. So what does that mean, what does he have cooking up? There is some speculation and I can’t say it sounds ridiculous:
I like the country run like a business personally. I’d have to hear a little more about his foreign policy but the dude might have my vote if he runs.
